Residents can find alternative ways to repair, reuse, recycle or dispose of household items and information on household recycling centres online at Gloucestershire Recycles Waste Wizard.

Over the bank holiday weekend, residents are likely to accumulate more waste than usual, and the council is asking everyone to recycle as much of this waste as they possibly can.

Lead Member for Environmental Services, Cllr Murray Stewart, said: “During the May bank holiday weekend, many people will be getting together with friends and family, whether this be a family meal or a visit to take advantage of the three-day break. This is likely to generate more waste than usual, so please remember to use your food caddy and recycle as much as possible.”
