Saturday Event: Hide and Seek! Gloucestershire’s Wildlife

Are you a wildlife enthusiast? Join us at Gloucestershire Heritage Hub on Saturday 7th March 2026 as we mark International Wildlife Month, delving into Gloucestershire’s wildlife projects and archive collections.

The event will run from 13:00 – 16:00, featuring two talks at 13:15 and 14:30, for which booking is essential.

What will the event include?

  • Document display of records relating to wildlife within Gloucestershire Archives’ collections
  • Two live talks on Gloucestershire’s wildlife: “Our Nature Neighbours: Gloucestershire’s Wildlife that Inspired John Moore” delivered at 13:15 by Kirstie Bingham from the John Moore Museum, and “Glorious Cotswolds Grasslands – A Year in Wildflower Meadows”, delivered at 14:30 by Cerian Brogan from the Cotswold National Landscape.
  • Meet representatives from The Gloucestershire Naturalists’ Society, who will have a display table and interactive activity.
  • The Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Gloucestershire branch of the British Trust for Ornithology and the Gloucestershire Bats Group will also be in attendance.
  • Free refreshments throughout the afternoon, donations welcome

  • Bug catcher or botanist? Discover more about your past heritage at the Gloucestershire Family History Centre, open from 10am-4pm.
